SUBJECT:     RELEASE INTIMATION OF ACCUSED IN CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. D-66/2023 REGARDING KHALIL-U-REHMAN KAKEPOTO U/S 9 (C) CONTROL OF NARCOTIC SUBSTANCES ACT 1997 CRIME NO. 30/2022 OF P.S RUSTAM.

                        WHEREAS, this Court convicted and sentenced accused Khalil-u-Rehman S/O Ali Ahmed by caste Kakepoto, under section 9 (C) Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997 for imprisonment for fourteen years and fine amounting to Rs.400,000/- vide Judgment dated 13.09.2023. The accused Khalil-u-Rehman S/O Ali Ahmed by caste Kakepoto, preferred appeal before Honourable High Court of Sindh, Circuit Court Larkana. The Honourable High Court of Sindh, Circuit Court Larkana has been pleased to order that “The sentence awarded to him by the trial Court is reduced to that already undergone including the term of imprisonment in case of default in payment of fine.” Vide Judgment dated 08.05.2024 passed in criminal appeal No.D-66 of 2023, directions have been issued to this Court to release accused forthwith, if he is no more required in any other custody case.

                        YOU ARE, therefore, directed/authorized to release the above named accused from your custody forthwith, if he is no more required in any other custody case/crime.
