SUBJECT:     RELEASE INTIMATION OF ACCUSED IN CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. D-08/2024 REGARDING SHAFQAT ALI AND OTHERS U/S 9 (C) CONTROL OF NARCOTIC SUBSTANCES ACT 1997 CRIME NO. 140/2021 OF P.S LAKHI GHULAM SHAH.

                        WHEREAS, this Court convicted and sentenced accused 1.Shafqat Ali @ Shoukat @ Fazli S/O Karim Dad, 2.Taj Muhammad @ Dad Muhammad S/O Fakhurddin @ Karim Dad, 3.Karim Dad S/O Fazal @ Jamaluddin all by caste Jakhrani under section 9 (C) Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997 vide Judgment dated 01.02.2024. The accused 1.Shafqat Ali @ Shoukat @ Fazli S/O Karim Dad, 2.Taj Muhammad @ Dad Muhammad S/O Fakhurddin @ Karim Dad, 3.Karim Dad S/O Fazal @ Jamaluddin all by caste Jakhrani preferred appeal before Honourable High Court of Sindh, Circuit Court Larkana. The Honourable High Court of Sindh, Circuit Court Larkana has been pleased to order that “The sentences awarded to them by the trial court are reduced to that of already undergone including the term of imprisonment in case of default in payment of fine.” Vide Judgment dated 29.05.2024 passed in criminal appeal No.D-08 of 2024, directions have been issued to this Court to release accused forthwith, if he is no more required in any other custody case.

                        YOU ARE, therefore, directed/authorized to release the above named accused from your custody forthwith, if he is no more required in any other custody case/crime.
